On the 24th July, the first leg of the annual Beer Food and Footy Festival will be on at Henson Park, Marrickville. The day will feature a festival comprised of stalls offering international food and craft beers. Also taking place will be the NSW Cup Round 19 (second division rugby league, below NRL level) game between foundation clubs the Newtown Jets and Western Suburbs Magpies. The Festival attracted around 10,000 in 2019 and will likely attract a strong crowd again. The second leg will be on the 7th August, and will feature the Newtown Jets playing South Sydney.
