Coolangatta Estate Winery
First established in 1822. The buildings which compose the winery were built by convicts, and are now surrounded by vineyards.
Coolongatta Estate was originally owned by Alexander Berry, and then his brother, whose family are regarded as the founders of the town of Berry.
The Estate was abandoned in the 1940s, before being repurchased in the 1970s by Colin Bishop, who promptly began to redevelop the site. The Estate was refurbished to its former glory and the vineyards were regrown. The road was now set for Coolongatta to become a successful and high class winery once again.
At Coolongatta Estate, you can purchase the following wines:

In addition to being an award winning winery, Silos also engage in charitable work. The Silos Foundation help raise funds for a variety of charitable causes, including Oxfam, World’s Greatest Shave and Vinnies.
The winery also aims to be environmentally friendly and sustainable. All of the energy within the winery is conducted by either solar or wind power and is 100% renewable. As a result, Silos hopes to eventually be completely carbon negative. The winery has also planted over 3000 trees since 2007.
